With his dramatic touchdown run against the Seattle Seahawks in the fourth quarter, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes might have firmly established himself as the league MVP.

On Christmas Eve, the Chiefs’ offense struggled mightily in the second half of their Week 16 contest against the Seahawks. Travis Kelce had to complete back-to-back long passes in order to get the offense into the end zone for the first time since the game’s opening period.

Mahomes put his life on the line on third-and-goal by scurrying out of the pocket to complete the task himself. Jordyn Brooks, a fellow Texas Tech alum, nearly tripped him up as Mahomes attempted to dive for the pylon.

Pat McAfee reacts to Patrick Mahomes’ magical touchdown

Pat McAfee, one of Patrick Mahomes’ biggest fans, couldn’t stop himself from praising the Kansas City star for his touchdown in the fourth quarter of the game.

On his show, Pat praised Patrick and said that the way he jumped and forced his bodyweight on one side may have ripped his elbow and caused him serious injuries. Patrick has to hold his body in the air because the sideline is only 4 yards away, Pat stated before adding that the superstar QB is a genius and that his athleticism is exceptional.

Pat also stated that Kansas is extremely fortunate to have Patrick Mahomes as a quarterback because he is one of the best. The things he has accomplished at such a young age are exceptional, and he is good in every aspect of the game, including his running abilities.

In the Kansas City Chiefs’ overtime victory over the Houston Texans last week, the star quarterback completed his final 20 pass attempts, putting him five successful throws away from the league record of 25 consecutive completions.

Mahomes has every right to want his team to be focused on the Super Bowl. With 4,496 passing yards and 35 passing touchdowns, the quarterback leads the NFL for the 11-3 Chiefs, who clinched their seventh consecutive AFC West title.
