“Remember, These Players Put Their Lives on The Line”: After Damar Hamlin’s Injury, Emotional Ryan Clark Shares a Very Strong Message About How Footballers Should Be Treated
The Football world went into a state of shock after Bills’ young safety Damar Hamlin ended up suffering a cardiac arrest on the field mid-game on Monday night.
The Cincinnati Bengals were up against the Buffalo Bills and fans were expecting a fantastic encounter but after what happened with Hamlin, not a single player on the field, not even any of the coaches or even the fans wanted to start again as they were incredibly worried about the young lad’s well-being.
This is what sports is all about. Fans of both the teams, who often end up clashing with one another, depending upon the outcome of the game, were all standing together, holding hands and praying for Damar who is fighting for his life.
As soon as Damar’s drastic collapse gained attention, experts, broadcasters, and even players from different sports started extending their support for the champion athlete. However, one NFL analyst in particular really made everyone think deeply about the sport and how the athletes should be treated.

“This is about Damar Hamlin, this is about a 24-year-old guy who was living his dream and getting ready to play the biggest game of his career a few hours ago. There’s probably nowhere else in the world he wanted to be and now, he fights for his life,” Ryan said.
He went on to add that in this field, we generally use clichés like putting your life on the line, getting ready for war but when Damar went down, the medics, the players, everyone in the ground was stunned because this wasn’t normal.
He added that this isn’t about a football player, its about a human being, a family man, a son, a brother, a friend. The analyst went on to add that the next time we all trash any player who is on the fantasy team and isn’t making the desired plays, we should remember that in order to live his dream, in order to earn the big bucks, he is literally putting his life on the line.
We all hope that Damar recovers soon.
