Tom Brady’s Former Wingman Mike Evans Once Gave an “Electric” Gift to the Entire Squad On Christmas Eve

It’s always better to give than receive. This notion perfectly sits well with Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans, who arranged a perfect surprise for the entire squad, including Tom Brady, on Christmas Eve. Last year, Tampa Bay fans were partially depressed because of a tumultuous season; however, the star wideout refreshed everyone’s mood in the Bay Area with his electric scooters.

Mike Evans is one of the most underrated weapons in the NFL. He is the only player in this league to record 1,000 yards per season for nine consecutive years. He rose to prominence ever since Brady arrived in Tampa and led the team to a championship title in 2021.

Every year, players tend to surprise their teammates with amazing gifts on Christmas. And this year too, the NFL fraternity saw its athletes make a similar move but choose a different path. Evans went for the big game, purchasing 53 scooters for all his teammates on the roster.

It was evident that he had spent a lot of money on this gift. The glimpses of this moment were shared by the Buccaneers’ social media handles. He placed the scooters and a goofy bag next to each player’s locker. “Santa came to the facility!! Thanks @mikeevans” read the caption from Bucs’ post.

It was indeed a cheerful moment inside the facility. Players rejoiced after receiving this unexpected gift. “I walked in this morning, and it was a big surprise. These things are pretty sick.” Right Tackle Tristan Wirfs said, per Tampa Bay Times.

“I’m glad I drove my truck (Thursday), so I can take it home. They’re super cool, and I’m super excited to get home and ride them. Hopefully, my dog will chase me around.” he added.

What were other expensive gifts from NFL stars for Christmas 2022?

Just like the Bucs squad, quarterbacks went a step ahead with exclusive options. The Bills passer Josh Allen and Aaron Rodgers bought customized bikes for their teammates. Purchasing scooter bikes for the entire squad turns out to be a lucrative deal, but these top-tier athletes often spend lavishly on these occasions.

Similarly, Super Bowl Champion Patrick Mahomes had a fun time, buying a new set of golf clubs for every player. He shared the post on his Instagram and other social media handles. It was a fair choice from Mahomes, who can easily afford such items given his association with several brands across the country. It will be interesting to see what surprises are in store for this year’s Christmas.
