Travis Kelce Finally Reflects on Coach Andy Reid Playing Cupid in the TE's Romance With Taylor Swift; "He Met the Swift Family Before"

Travis Kelce and his brother Jason recently hosted Coach Andy Reid on their infamous New Heights Podcast. It was a fantastic episode that garnered crazy viewership on the channel. Although it was a major success, fans pointed out awkward behavior from the Kelce brothers that became the highlight of the show. The constant knee-slapping and leg-slapping from Reid and Travis was just gold! Initially, the brothers didn’t notice it, but the tight end addressed this behavior in subsequent episodes.

Reid is an ultimate entertainer. His real behavior and wit were on full display during the episode, with the Kelce brothers throwing out some crazy questions at him. The head coach did not disappoint and gave crisp and sarcastic responses. All in all, it was a wholesome episode, until one of their viewers asked Travis about the knee slaps and whether Coach Reid was cool about it.

Travis Kelce speaks about his leg slaps to the Chiefs’ head coach

Andy Reid was always projected as a furious, angry man in the NFL arena. Anyone has hardly seen him laugh apart from the State Farm commercials recently. But the big guy is full of wit, and his real deal was on display during the New Heights podcast episode.

Fans who believed that Travis and other players on the team regarded coach Reid as a father figure and were scared of him, looked chill throughout the session. However, in reality, Travis was quite nervous, and in order to keep it more alive, the veteran made those subtle knee slap moves as if it were all cool.

Netizens asked him whether Reid was angry about this and needed a bunch of ice packs to settle him down. “Ya I know, I was extremely nervous the entire episode, so I blacked out and didn’t even realize that I was doing that.” Travis clarified this in a recent clip of the New Heights Podcast.

“It is not usually my go-to. But yeah, I was just trying to not f*ck that up,” he added. Indeed, there have been several occasions in the past where Travis and Patrick Mahomes have reiterated the fact that players respect their head coach so much that they try to avoid indulging in any mischievousness in front of them. They follow a disciplined approach and keep the locker room atmosphere alive.

Reid speaks about how having Kelce on the team was never a second choice

The 33-year-old has always been an asset for KC, ever since he entered the NFL arena in 2013. His presence has encouraged the quarterbacks to open their arms and sling the ball with full confidence. His rushing abilities and pass-catching skills are on a whole other level. Despite missing stars like Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs succeeded in winning a championship this year. All thanks to star athletes like Travis, who made it look effortless.

While speaking on the show, Reid mentioned that the Cincinnati product was always on their radar. They were not ready to pass him up in the NFL draft. “[Travis] actually was the first one… We were going to get him; that’s who we wanted. John Dorsey was a part of this; I mean, you can double-check with John. That was a slam dunk. He was going to be a Chief.” Reid said, per The Chiefswire.

Looking at Travis’ current performances, it doesn’t look like he is going to stop any time soon. Many more championship titles are waiting for this champ.
