Tyreek Hill, Who Was Once Accused of Child Abuse, Follows in the Footsteps of Primetime Deion Sanders in Order to Be a Better Father

Tyreek Hill, the star wide receiver of the Miami Dolphins has always been the talk of the town, especially after revealing that he may retire from the NFL after finishing out his current contract. Additionally, Tyreek Hill has been trash-talking the Kansas City Chiefs for a while. He’s also eyeing the day he will face the Chiefs and win against them. But in his personal life, the NFL speedster, who was once allegedly accused of child abuse, has been copying parenting techniques from Prime Time Deion Sanders.

Sanders made waves months ago when he left Jackson State University to become the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes. Along with being highly respected for his football and baseball legacy, the two-time Super Bowl winner is known to be a family man. Hence, by taking inspiration from him, Hill decided to improve the bond between himself and his four children.

Tyreek Hill wants to maintain work-life balance like Deion Sanders

The star wide receiver recently revealed on his Cheetah Podcast, that he is heavily inspired by Sanders, who has five children, three boys and two girls.

Hill quotes Sanders: “He was like, ‘Wherever your feet are, that’s where your head is. I don’t want you to take your football problems to your wife.’”

Hill revealed that when he used to come home after practicing, he was often tired and couldn’t spend time with his children. His children love to run (guess where they get it from). He did not know how to balance his professional and personal lives. That’s when he got inspiration from ‘family man’ Deion Sanders. Moreover, after joining the Miami Dolphins, Tyreek has been able to spend more time with his little ones which has also helped his cause.

“When I get home, I play with them. I go over homework with my son, you know, help him out in the yard with football drills and stuff like that. I’m just happier now. You feel me?”

Even though the wideout was happy when he was with the Chiefs, he no longer stresses about spending time with his sons. But it wasn’t always this smooth for Hill as he once had to battle child abuse allegations.

Hill was once accused of punching his 3-year-old son

Hill played at Garden City Community College in Oklahoma for a season and at the University of West Alabama before becoming an All-Pro star in the league. In 2019, he was suspended from team activities because of an ongoing investigation into abuse charges.

Following the emergence of an audio recording on April 25, the Kansas City Chiefs took the decision to suspend Tyreek Hill from team activities. The audio contained a conversation between Hill and his fiancée, Crystal Espinal, where both parties discussed allegations of physical punishment inflicted on their son. In the recording, Hill responded to Espinal’s statement that their son was terrified of him by saying, “You need to be terrified of me too.”

Punching my son in my chest was probably referring to me teaching my son how to box,” Hill said. “We do got boxing gloves at our house. My son loves Iron Man, Aquaman. Sometimes, things get thrown out of context when feelings get involved and emotions. But I’m not going to get into all that.

Th league could not find enough evidence against him that warrant to child abuse. That is why they brought him back to the Chiefs.
