Early in the week, the Dallas Cowboys have had a busy schedule. Even though they are still playing their regular season, they have been courting and recruiting a particular free-agent wide receiver.

Beyond that level of entertainment, Odell Beckham Jr. has been meeting with the Cowboys and team officials. He attended Monday night’s game between the Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns with Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs, and he said then that signing with Dallas was a possibility.
Not ideal. If the Cowboys sign WR Odell Beckham Jr., “it will be with the understanding that the veteran receiver is unlikely to play before the regular season is done,” per @DavidMooreDMN. https://t.co/ZvKs0lMyT3

Tuesday night marked the end of Day 2 of Beckham’s two-day visit with the Cowboys. His schedule included a meeting with the team’s leadership council. On Monday, after meeting with club representatives, he attended the Mavericks-Suns game with Parsons and Diggs, sitting in the Jones family’s seats on the baseline next to the visitor’s bench.
If both parties decide to work together in the future, it will be understood that the veteran receiver is unlikely to play before the end of the regular season. Beckham visited the Buffalo Bills and the New York Giants before going to The Star.
Since tearing his ACL during the Super Bowl earlier this year, Beckham has not played. It appears that his recovery will continue into the postseason, several people with knowledge of his situation told The Dallas Morning News.
What Jerry Jones Had To Say About Odell Beckham Jr’s Return
“Well, I’m not confident at all,” Jones said Tuesday morning when asked if he was comfortable signing someone coming off a major injury without seeing him work out.
It explains why Jones took a long pause before responding to a question about Beckham’s ability to play this season during his bi-weekly segment on 105.3 The Fan (KRLD-FM) Tuesday morning.
“I’m going to keep that one at bay,” Jones explained. Beckham caught 21 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns during the postseason last year, contributing significantly to the LA Rams’ run to the Super Bowl.
He scored a touchdown in the Rams’ victory over Cincinnati in the Super Bowl and had nine receptions for 113 yards in the team’s victory over San Francisco in the NFC Championship Game.
