Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs were destroyed in Super Bowl 55, pushing ESPN to post a lot of disappointed Mahomes pictures, something his fiancé Brittany Matthews did not like at all.

Tampa Bay’s defense took control of the game, forcing incompletions, pressures, and turnovers all night long to the tune of a 31-9 blowout victory. Tom Brady walked away with his seventh ring, and the Chiefs were left wondering how they could improve.

In the middle of it all, sports media companies like ESPN and SportsCenter were all over social media, posting pictures of Mahomes’ disappointment throughout the blowout. One look at Mahomes’ face can sum up Kansas City’s night for you.

Mahomes’ fiancé did not approve of all these posts at all, calling out ESPN and SportsCenter on her Twitter account after the game.

Brittany Matthews Had Harsh Words For ESPN And SportsCenter Posting About Patrick Mahomes

Matthews was very angry at the fact that Mahomes was being portrayed in such a light. Mahomes is one of the game’s biggest stars right now, and he could be the face of the league very soon.

As a result, Matthews was surprised that ESPN and SportsCenter chose to portray the Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback in such a manner. Here are some of her replies:

Ouch, that’s harsh. However, Brittany wasn’t the only person close to Mahomes who had some choice words after the game. Mahomes’ mom Randi Mahomes, had the following to say in a Tweet (since deleted) in which Tom Brady’s wife Gisele Bündchen was tagged.

“If you have to have the ref on your team is that really winning!!! @giseleofficial lol”

She too had criticism for ESPN and SportsCenter:

“Love our chiefs!! Heartbroken to see how @espn @SportsCenter tried making fun of my son. But i know his heart and love for his team and chiefs nation! Thank you chiefs fans.. don’t forget these are someone’s sons tv #godisgreaterthenmyhighsandmylows.”

Mahomes wasn’t too vocal about whatever ESPN or SportsCenter may have been doing, and after the game, his entire focus was just on getting back to the same stage next year. Mahomes and Matthews are engaged and are set to plan their wedding soon.

They welcomed their first child, Sterling Skye Mahomes, into the world on February 20th in an Instagram post by Mahomes.
