Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is keen to add Liverpool star Sadio Mane into his ranks. At the moment, neither the player nor the club are willing to make the transfer. However, should Los Blancos manage to convince the Senegalese to change his mind, Liverpool will turn their attention towards Kylian Mbappe.
Nike could help fund Liverpool’s pursuit of Kylian Mbappe
According to The Sun, Sadio Mane’s representatives have already been approached for informal talks about a possible move to the Bernabeu. If the forward decides to ply his trade in the Spanish capital, Real Madrid will have to shell out around £150million.
Liverpool will then have to add another 100 million on top of it to bid a world record amount for PSG Superstar and world cup winner Kylian Mbappe.
Jurgen Klopp had previously said the Reds could not afford the Frenchman. However, the fact that Liverpool announced a record turnover of £533m in February with profits of £42m and their £100m a year deal with Nike as new kit sponsors suggests that the club are better placed than they were before.
The report adds that Nike could even fund part of his humongous £400,00-a-week wages. This would ensure Liverpool sign him without destroying their wage structure. His very presence at the home of the six-time European kings would greatly enhance Nike’s profits.
