In a Patreon post, Richtman stated, “The team that gave us an excellent Super Mario Bros. movie is hard at work on adaptations of The Legend of Zelda, Luigi’s Mansion, Donkey Kong, and The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2.” Among these, the two projects most certain to get a movie adaptation are The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 and Donkey Kong.
Since The Super Mario Bros. Movie turned out to be a big hit, fans are wondering about the next big adventure of the legendary Mario and his friends. Therefore, it also gives the makers the confidence to deliver the Chris Patt-starring movie its sequel somewhere in the future.
