Not Denny Hamlin or Chase Elliott, These are Kyle Busch's Son's Favorite NASCAR Drivers

Over the years NASCAR has seen plenty of families that have managed to stay relevant at the top level for long periods, be it the Elliotts, the Earnhardts, or the Waltrips. Undeniably, the Busch family is also in that tier of NASCAR royalty, with both brothers, Kyle and Kurt, proving themselves as serial winners on the biggest stage in American racing. Turns out, they might not be done yet, as another one could be on the way, with Brexton Busch looking to follow in his father Kyle’s footsteps.

Young Brexton is already a NASCAR fan and why not? His father is one of the greatest to ever do it not only in the Cup Series but in the Xfinity Series and the Truck Series as well. Unsurprisingly, his father is his favorite driver. But who are the other two drivers who enthrall Brexton even though they end up competing against his father?

Brexton Busch Reveals Favorite NASCAR Drivers Aside From Kyle Busch

Recently, Samantha Busch was asked who were Brexton’s favorite NASCAR drivers and the answer might surprise NASCAR fans. On her Instagram story, she wrote, “Besides Kyle obviously, I would say Larson and Byron.”

Not surprising, considering the season the Hendrick Motorsports stars are having. 2021 champion Larson already has two wins this year and looks set for a championship run, while his teammate Byron already has three wins, tied for most with Kyle Busch this season. It will be fascinating to see if Byron can finally have a breakout year and make a run for the championship, or if Kyle Larson makes up for a relatively disappointing 2022 season with his second championship and tie Kyle Busch in that regard.

How Has Kyle Busch Been Doing So Far With His New Team?

After all the drama with JGR last season that brought to an end a cherished partnership, it was always a question of how Kyle Busch would fare in a new setup. Safe to say, the two-time champion has been more than impressive at RCR, notching up an impressive three wins in the first 15 races, something that even past RCR greats like Dale Earnhardt and Kevin Harvick could not manage.

Busch looks well set on the way to contending for a third championship if he continues to race like he has done so far this season. But as impressive as he has been, it won’t be as straightforward. Kyle Busch not only has to deal with long-time rivals like Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano challenging to stake their claim, but he also has young Brexton’s favorite drivers Kyle Larson and William Byron coming for his crown.
