Ousmane Dembele situation at Barcelona: Barca’s heavyweights are reportedly unhappy with the French star over his disciplinary issues.
Barcelona cruised to victory in their third Champions League game of the season against Inter Milan. A Messi-less Barca side didn’t face many problems, as goals from Rafinha and Jordi Alba across the two halves secured three points for the Catalan side.
With this win, Barcelona retain their position at the top of their Champions League group. Inter Milan is at second, while Tottenham are at third with only one point, after a disappointing 2-2 draw against PSV.
Ernesto Valverde’s side will now return to La Liga action as they take on arch-rivals Real Madrid in season’s first El Clasico. The match will be played at Camp Nou.
However, problems may still persist for Barcelona’s attacker Ousmane Dembele, who is reportedly turning the Barca stars against him. According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Ousmane Dembele’s disciplinary issues have irked the Barca stars, as well as coach Ernesto Valverde.
Ousmane Dembele situation at Barcelona:
The French forward made a good start to his La Liga campaign this season after an underwhelming performance in his first year at Barcelona. However, his disciplinary issues have been a concern in the last few weeks.
Mundu Deportivo reports that the attacker fails to be on time for the training sessions, and the disciplinary problems have not gone down well with the Barca squad.
The Spanish outlet also claims that the ‘divorce’ between the forward and coach Ernesto Valverde was evident when Ousmane Dembele was an unused substitute in the Champions League game against Inter Milan.
Dembele has been reportedly offered a cook to maintain his diet and fitness, as well as a driver, but the French forward denied both the services.
In Barcelona’s last league victory against Sevilla, Lionel Messi was forced off with injury. However, a delay in Dembele’s readiness to come on for the Argentine resulted in Barca playing with ten men for 10 minutes.

It would be interesting to see if Ousmane Dembele learns from the punishment which Valverde gave him in not playing him during the game against Inter Milan.
