Ousmane Dembele to Arsenal: Arsenal are reportedly keen on a loan deal for Barcelona’s forward, Ousmane Dembele.
Arsenal have been in fine form this season since losing two consecutive games in the beginning of the season. Unai Emery’s side is on a 16-game unbeaten run across all competitions.
However, Arsenal were held to three straight draws in their last three league games, which has pushed them down to fifth in the table. The Gunners are 3 points behind their city rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Their attacking partnership of Aubameyang and Lacazette has been impressive so far, but Arsenal have been inconsistent in their defence. It is no surprise that Arsenal have conceded the most goals among the Premier League top five so far.
While Arsenal are reportedly in the transfer market for defenders, Sky reporter Guillem Balague has reported that Arsenal made contact with Barcelona for a possible loan move for Ousmane Dembele.

It is interesting to note that Barcelona’s general manager, Pep Segura stated that they had not received any offer on Dembele, but admitted that it has been hard for Dembele so far.
“We recognise that it is hard for him and he also recognises it, but we’re working to change this situation as quickly as possible,” stated Segura.
He also admitted that he has met with representatives of other clubs.

“Yes, we had a meeting, just like I met with three other representatives, but it’s normal, it’s part of my job, they’re natural things,” Segura said.
What next?
The speculations surrounding Ousmane Dembele’s move to Arsenal headlined throughout the summer, but no deal was put in place.
However, the recent issues with Dembele at Barcelona can contribute to the club parting ways with him for a significant period.
