Ozan Kabak to Arsenal: Arsenal are currently in the process of monitoring 18-year old defender for the January transfer window.
Defence has been a major worry for Arsenal this season. Arsenal have conceded the most goals of the top-five in the Premier League so far.
The Gunners slipped down to fifth position in the league after being held to three successive draw games, before finally ending the dismal run with a win over Bournemouth last weekend.
For the upcoming transfer window, Arsenal have been linked with a number of defenders, and the club’s Head of football Raul Sanllehi has admitted that Arsenal could alter their transfer policy for the winter window if they get a lucrative deal.
And so, Arsenal are currently in the process of monitoring potential transfer targets, and one of them is the 18-year old defender from Galatasaray, Ozan Kabak.
Ozan Kabak to Arsenal:
The Galatasaray defender enjoyed a breakthrough season at the Turkish outfit, despite having played only one minute of professional football in the previous season. Kabak established himself as a regular starter for Galatasaray this season, and has been central to the club’s season so far, as they challenge for the Super Lig title.
The 18-year old’s form has attracted a number of suitors from Europe, and according to Turkish publishing outlet Sabah, Arsenal is amongst the clubs looking for a potential deal for the defender.
Arsenal could, however, face a tough competition from Inter Milan. The reports in Italy have suggested that Kabak has a release clause of €7.5m.
Galatasaray, meanwhile, are desperate to offer Kabak a new deal and tie him down to a five-year contract at the club.
Kabak was named the captain of Turkey’s U-17 team in the World Cup in India last year, and was included in the list of the UEFA’s top-10 players to look out for the future. He currently plays for the U18 national side, where he has made 4 appearances, scoring a goal.
