Paul Pogba crashes the post-match interview of Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku after Man Utd registered a 3-1 win over PSG.

It was a night to remember for Manchester United and its fans as the side registered a memorable comeback at Parc des Princes.

After being 2-0 down in the first leg, an injury-hit Manchester United side bounced back to secure a 3-1 win against PSG to proceed to the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

PSG may have been the far more dominant side in the game, but Manchester United defended for their lives, it seemed. Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof, Scott McTominay and Fred were all immense in the side’s regular attempts to thwart PSG attackers.

Romelu Lukaku scored the first two goals and Manchester United held on to the lead, even as they conceded a goal in the first half.

The match took a dramatic turn in the injury time as VAR awarded the Red Devils a penalty for handball offence inside the box.

Marcus Rashford calmly put the ball past Gianluigi Buffon, who guessed right but couldn’t save the shot.

“Fantastic. The belief in the boys was exactly what we hoped for, but we had a great start. That early goal made it more open for us,” Solskjaer said after the game.

“I was in the Champions League with Molde and got a last minute penalty against Basel and we missed and went out. Rashford is fearless, no nerves whatsoever. Him and Rom were fantastic tonight.”

Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford also interacted with the media for the interview. However, Paul Pogba interrupted the proceeding as the footballer was in the mood to celebrate with his teammates.

Rashford stated that he kept himself cool before taking the penalty.

“Just keep a cool head. They are the type of thing you practice every day and I wanted to take it,” Rashford said.

“That was probably the hardest thing, the wait before, but it’s all part of the game and those moments, that’s what we live for. Everything seemed to be against us but we’re used to surviving in these moments. Today just proved that one more time.

“We go forward from this game now, keep pushing and better ourselves.

“It’s a beautiful thing (seeing the club’s youngsters on the pitch).

“We have 10 players injured but for them, it’s an opportunity for them to come forward and they’ve all done that.”

Lukaku, meanwhile, stated that he is happy to be among the goals again.

“It was good, it was good. We were confident the day before the game. We knew we could do the business,” Lukaku said.

“We played together against Southampton and again today and it was a pleasure to play with him today. We both scored, so we’re happy.”
