Paul Pogba misses crucial penalty against Wolverhampton

Paul Pogba misses crucial penalty against Wolverhampton Wanderers in their Premier League encounter at the Molineux Stadium.

Manchester United failed to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers all last season. They faced each other 3 times with United failing to put one over them even once. United have also travelled to their stadium 5 times in total and have come out the losers on 3 occasions.

The Red Devils are currently in the middle of an away win drought. They have gone 4 games without winning an away match in the Premier League and looked to change that tonight. An Anthony Martial stunner gave them the lead in the 27th minute and it looked like they would leave West Midlands as table toppers. However, a goal by Ruben Neves in the 55th minute levelled the scores.

United began hunting for goals and adopted an aggressive approach. They were helped by Wolverhampton who conceded a foul in the box. United were thus handed a penalty kick. However, instead of giving it to Rashford, who scored from the spot against Chelsea, the ball was handed to Paul Pogba.

Paul Pogba went for the kick only to be denied by Patricio earning the ire of fans. The Supporters were extremely disappointed and were left flummoxed over the decision to hand the ball to Pogba instead of Rashford.

Paul Pogba has now missed four penalties since the start of last season. The most of any player in the competition. Surely United will be gutted knowing they had victory in their grasp. Yet, they will come back to the Old Trafford with only one point instead of the maximum of 3.
