Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has reportedly agreed a four year deal with Juventus.

Manchester City are facing an investigation from FIFA, UEFA, FA and the Premier League over the allegations of corruption.

And it seems they’re about to get another setback – this time, from the manager Pep Guardiola.

It has been reported that the Spanish manager has agreed on a four-year deal with Italian champions Juventus, starting from the next season.

Juventus have been brilliant in the domestic season, but their failure to perform in the Champions League has been an issue under Massimiliano Allegri. The side lost 2-0 in the first leg of the round-of-16 tie to Atletico Madrid, and making a comeback would be a humungous task for the manager.

Pep Guardiola to Juventus?

Il Giornale’s reporter Luigi Guelpa told Radio CRC that Pep Guardiola is set to join Juventus on a four-year deal. According to Guelpa, the source for the news comes from the same person who indicated Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to the Italian side earlier in the summer.

With Manchester City facing investigations from major governing bodies in association football, it might be the right time for Guardiola to jump the ships.

English outlet Mirror has carried the story as well and even quoted Guelpa, as he talked to Radio CRC.

“I’ve learned that Pep Guardiola already has reached a verbal agreement with Juventus for the next four years. It’s the same person who told me that Ronaldo was going to Juventus,” Guelpa said.

Manchester City are on course for a second consecutive Premier League title (the first time in the club’s history if they achieve the feat). They face stiff competition from Liverpool, however, who are only a point behind them.

In such an intense scenario, speculations surrounding the future of the manager would the last thing Manchester City would want. The side is also competing in the FA Cup and Champions League, having already lifted the Carabao Cup last month, as they defeated Chelsea on penalties in the final.
