Arsene Wenger is going through a really rough patch, as the Frenchman is getting increasingly desperate in his attempts to save Arsenal’s season. Last season saw Arsenal finish 5th on the table, the lowest position under Wenger at the club.

Last week’s loss to Manchester City amplified the pressure on Wenger and his team, as football fans and pundits went really hard at the veteran man. Wenger’s opposite number on that day, Pep Guardiola has immense respect for the Frenchman.

“I always support my colleagues because we feel the same when we win, when we lose.

“We accept the opinions of the fans and the people and you feel alone. Believe me, you feel alone because there’s a lot of pressure on your shoulders.

“I understand completely. I’d like to tell him that I am close, I am on the same side as him. That’s why I don’t understand when other managers criticise the other managers.

“It’s tough to send a message to the other ones from here because everyone understands how you feel when you lose.

“What happened can happen to me in the future. We won, I’m good. Arsene Wenger didn’t win so he’s not good.”

There are also reports coming in that some players within the dressing room have started to lose faith in Wenger. There are many stars who don’t think they can progress much with Wenger at the helm, which is why they need someone else in charge.

Wenger knows that another defeat tonight against Manchester City would increase the pressure, which is the Frenchman is really under the pump!
