Pep Guardiola to Juventus: Outgoing Allegri throws a massive hint on Pep Guardiola's possible Juventus move

Pep Guardiola to Juventus: Outgoing manager Massimiliano Allegri has thrown a huge hint on Pep Guardiola’s possible Juventus move.

Massimiliano Allegri has claimed his Juventus successor will be ‘manager of Manchester’ amid speculation linking Pep Guardiola with a move to Juventus.

On Thursday, Italian news agency AGI reported Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola agreed a four-year deal worth €24 million annually to take over the club next season. It was claimed that he will sign the contract with the Italian side on June 4 and he would be presented ten days later.

Speaking before the completion of the domestic treble by humiliating Watford 6-0 in the FA Cup finals, Pep Guardiola claimed that he had no intentions to leave the club and club board member Alberto Galassi told Sky Italia the renewed reports were “a load of nonsense”.

However, Massimiliano Allegri threw a huge hint when he attended a restaurant opening in Milan, Italy.

Local newspaper Sport Legnano reported Allegri was asked by a Juventus fan who the club’s next head coach would be and he replied: “A manager of Manchester is coming.”

After the failure to win the Champions League, Massimiliano Allegri will be leaving Juventus on mutual consent in the weekend. The Italian International guided them to a fifth consecutive Scudetto this term.

Guardiola has two years left in his Manchester City contract and has swept five out of the last six domestic honours in England. The Spanish International could be enticed with the prospect of working alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, who he rivalled at Barcelona.

What’s next?

Juventus will play their final game of the Serie A season against Sampdoria away from home. It will be the last game for their current manager Massimiliano Allegri, who will step up in the weekend. The Old Lady board will be hoping to lure in Pep Guardiola, who is surely one among their targets to replace Allegri at Allianz Arena.
