Pokimane in Free Guy: Big News on the Internet today as famous Internet Personalities reveal their part in a fun, new Ryan Reynolds movie!
Internet personalities have become increasingly more influential as a part of pop culture over the last 10 years. People like Dr DisRespect and PewDiePie make just as many headlines these days as any regular celebrity. So, it is no surprise to see a host of our favourite content creators get a chance to be a part of a big Hollywood film!
What is the movie about?
Free Guy is a sci-fi movie starring Ryan Reynolds and made by 2oth Century Studios. The movie has a unique storyline with Reynolds playing a video game character. Reynold’s character Guy starts off as an NPC in the open-world game “Free City” and suddenly becomes aware of his presence in a video game. After that, the movie is all about his struggle to become a hero while he tries to save the game from being shut down. The movie is scheduled for release on the 11th of December.

Pokimane in Free Guy?
Apart from the unique concept, there is another reason why Free Guy has been making headlines. The movie will feature cameos from four of the biggest names on Twitch and YouTube! These are Imane “Pokimane” Anys, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Sean “JackSepticeye” McLoughlin and Lannan “Lazarbeam” Eacott.
Now, all 4 of these names have a huge no. of fans. So, when they revealed the good news, all their fan bases naturally went nuts. But, it was Pokimane’s that made the biggest noise.
Poki revealed the big news on Twitter moments after the release of the movie trailer on YouTube. Septiceye also followed suit. Fans were almost instantly pumped and promised to look for their fav “Poki” throughout the movie. However, some fans were also a little critical of the large no. of streamers in it. For the most part, however, this new idea of featuring influencers in movies seems interesting to most fans.
Apart from them, the movie also stars Jodie Comer, Joe Keery and Lil Rey Howery.
