Lillard has been tipped for a move to the Lakers since the end of the 2017/18 season, when ESPN’s Stephen Smith had claimed that the Portland man wanted a move to Los Angeles.

Now, with LeBron James’ move to Lakers done, Lillard is all the more interested to join Lakers, claims Bill Simmons in his latest podcast.

LA Lakers have to build a team around LeBron James, a task that will take some shrewd trades, and Lillard is one, having displayed his skill in Portland for sometime now.

Lillard too is looking for a change, as with Portland he cannot make it deep into the playoffs, something that was quite visible during Portland’s first round loss to Pelicans.

The question for the Lakers would be who do they trade for Lillard.

Lakers were hit hard early on during the off-season when Paul George announced that he won’t be coming to LA to partner up with LeBron.

LeBron has always found it tough to win the entire NBA championship on his own. Yes, he has been able to guide teams to the NBA finals, but in order to win the championship, he needs some support(he is human too).

Paul George would have been that player but with that move not happening, a mid-season trade for Lillard could prove to be the best way to go about things.

Lonzo Ball and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope could be traded for Lillard.

Do you think Lillard should come to LA and team with LeBron? And do you think that combination can help the Lakers win the NBA Championship in LeBron’s first season?
