Roger Federer takes a decision on his Rogers Cup participation
Having completed one of finest comebacks in sporting history, a content Federer is now planning for the rest of the season.
An elusive US Open trophy is at stake for Roger, something that has been missing from his trophy cabinet since 2008. And Federer would be hoping that his rich vein of form this season can help him clinch his 20th Grand Slam title.
Federer’s support staff has been working tirelessly and strategically to keep Federer fit for the entire season, and hence a lot of planning goes into which tournament he should play and which he can afford to miss out on.

After a lot of contemplation(and some well-deserved rest), Roger Federer and his team have decided on the first hard court tournament that they want to be a part of and it is the Rogers Cup in Montreal.
It will be Federer’s first appearance at Montreal since 2011.
I’m happy to be coming back to Montreal, as I have not had the chance to play there for many years,” he told Tennis Canada.
“This 2017 season has been very exciting and I am really looking forward to being back on the court on the ATP Tour.” he said.
The Rogers Cup is scheduled to start from August 4th.
Federer would be vying for his 3rd Rogers Cup title, after having won it in 2004 and 2006.
