Rohan Bopanna has created history, by becoming only the fourth Indian to win a Grand Slam title. He achieved this after he won the mixed doubles title with Gabriela Dabrowski at Roland Garros today. Social media when to into overdrive as Rohan Bopanna and Gabriela Dabrowski win the mixed doubles at French Open 2017.
Seventh seeds Bopanna and Dabrowksi beat Germany’s Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Colombia’s Robert Farah 2-6, 6-2, 12-10 to win the prestigious title.

It was a tough match for the seventh seeds, as Farah and Groenefeld won the first set quite comfortably. But Bopanna and Dabrowski bounced back, as they took the next set 6-2. It was a thrilling last set, as both teams gave it their all in front of a great crowd at Roland Garros.
In some ways it was a pity that the match ended in double fault, which was not a true reflection of the quality of the match. But Bopanna and Dabrowski did not care, as they kick off their celebrations.
Bopanna now joins Mahesh Bhupati, Leander Paes and Sania Mirza as the only Indians to have won a Gran Slam. Sania Mirza took to Twitter to congratulate Bopanna on his memorable victory.
