Rohit Sharma breaks all sorts of records in the 5th ODI against Australia
Not many openers have brought the best in them after been promoted as an opener in the team. Rohit Sharma is one of the best to have graced the sport as an specialist opener.
Setting the tone at a rather more sedate pace and reaping something big as the game progresses is Rohit Sharma’s philosophy. That is why we call him as ‘Hitman’.
When he gets going with fluidity, it is an absolute visual treat for the fans. On combining the game with a blend of style and substance, he makes the game look so easy after he gets settled.

Rohit Sharma takes Australia a tad more seriously than anybody else. He has the best average against them than any other player in world cricket.
The Indian specialist opener became the second fastest to 4000 runs in ODIs as an opener behind South Africa batting great Hashim Amla.
Ever since he has been promoted as an opener, he has gone from strength to strength. He also became the ninth Indian to score 6000 ODI runs and the third fastest Indian to achieve the feat.
Rohit Sharma managed to score 296 runs in the recently-concluded ODI series against Australia with two fifties and one century to his name.
With an impeccable performance, he achieved his career-best in ICC ODI Player Rankings where he climbed ladders to four places to sit at the No.5 spot.
