Romelu Lukaku transfer news

Romelu Lukaku transfer news: The Manchester United striker has been speculated with a move away from the club.

Manchester United have been impressive under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer so far. The side is on a seven-game unbeaten run across all competitions, with six-match winning streak in the Premier League.

A goal each from Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford secured a 2-1 win over Brighton last weekend. The club is now only three points behind the fourth-placed Chelsea and level on points with Arsenal, who are fifth.

Rashford has been one of the most impressive of all the United players under Solskjaer, as the forward bagged five goals in the last six league games. Justifiably, he remains the first-choice option in the side, ahead of Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku has not been entirely shunned away from the side, however, and has made substitute appearances since coming back into the side from compassionate leave. He also scored in FA Cup tie against Reading, where he started as Solskjaer rested the English youngster.

However, there have been increasing reports of Lukaku’s departure from Manchester United. But according to Express, the striker has replied to the reports.

Romelu Lukaku transfer news:

Lukaku has been strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford after his place in the starting XI was taken by Marcus Rashford under Solskjaer.

Romelu Lukaku has, however, scored three goals under Solskjaer despite having started only one game in his charge so far.

However, the striker posted a cryptic message on Instagram, which read, “When the hate don’t work they start telling lies…”

Lukaku has faced inconsistency in form throughout this season. The Belgian star has scored 9 goals across all the competitions this season so far, but endured an eight-game goalless patch earlier this season.

With Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez has also been spending time on the bench. However, the Chilean attacker was out injured and was seemingly hurried into starting the game against Reading in the FA Cup tie earlier this month.

However, Solskjaer confirmed in the post-match conference after victory against Brighton that Alexis Sanchez could be back in action against his former side Arsenal as the side aims to secure a spot in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
