At the launch of his new Nike boots Ronaldo spoke a lot about his time at Manchester United and how they shaped his career as a footballer.
“Alex Ferguson was a father for me in football,” Ronaldo said. “I learned many things, not just from the coach but the players.

“In the five years that I was [at United] I learned the art of football. It was a dream for me.”
“I remember when I left Lisbon for England, Alex Ferguson said to me, ‘Listen, I want you to take the No 7’,” Ronaldo said.
“I was surprised because I knew the guys who wore that shirt. I accepted the challenge, it was great.

While it is fair to say that Ronaldo was a world class player at Old Trafford, his mega move to Real Madrid took him to another level all together. He broke the all time goal scoring record for Real Madrid and is still the main man at the club.
