KKR are riding on the ‘Russelmania’ at the moment, something that every team in the IPL will want to end as quickly as they can. Andre Russell has led the charge during all KKR games and has done so when the team’s back is agains the wall. Composure, power and faith define the West Indian at the moment, and KKR would be hoping that he can carry this on all through the 2019 IPL season.
RR finally got off the mark in the last game vs RCB, with Shreyas Gopal emerging as the hero, picking up AB, Kohli and Hetmyer to push RCB into a corner. They have had a long break since that game and would come back rejuvenated for the next string of games.
From a team perspective, they would be hoping that Gopal and Archer can stop the Russell onslaught. For KKR, the discussion would be around how other players can ensure that Russell doesn’t have to come to the party this time.

Wicketkeeper for RR vs KKR Dream11
For the wicketkeeping slot, it is going to be a direct shootout between Jos Buttler and Dinesh Karthik. Going by current form and how much Jos Buttler loves the Jaipur track; I would close my eyes and get in Jos Buttler.
Dinesh Karthik hasn’t been in great form as of now and could be pushed down the order if Russell is needed. So, until DK bats down the order and doesn’t hit top form, I wouldn’t be bringing him in.
Moreover, Buttler’s batting position too works in his favour. Get him in.
Bowlers for RR vs KKR Dream11
Jofra Archer would be the first bowler that I bring into my side for this game. While he hasn’t picked up the number of wickets that he should have, I would still back him, because of the way he has been bowling. He has been extremely unlucky to not be within the purple cap contention, as he has been nailing those yorkers at the death for RR.
With Archer set to bowl at least two overs at the death, it is only a matter of time before he picks up a 3 wicket haul. Have faith and get him in.
Kuldeep Yadav would be my second bowling pick for this game. While Kuldeep has been largely off-colour this season, he has found a little bit of form in the last two games. On a track that could offer some assistance, Kuldeep could be lethal, especially considering that Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes don’t play wrist spin too well. Get him in.
For the final bowling pick, I will be getting in Prasidh Krishna, who has been used by DK at the death. Coming in for just 8cr, Prasidh is my budget pick for this game. With bowlers not getting their due in Dream11 Fantasy, I have decided to invest too much into bowlers and hence will be saving some credits here and selecting bowlers that are worth less in Dream11 Fantasy but can get the job done with respect to their price.
All-Rounders for RR vs KKR Dream11
Andre Russell and Sunil Narine will be the first two all-rounders that I get into my side. Russell’s selection doesn’t need any kind of justification, as he has single handedly won KKR 3 games and almost took them over the line in the 4th.
Sunil Narine’s role in this KKR setup is one that is enough to warrant him a place in my side. Opening the batting for KKR and then getting to bowl two overs of spin at the death; Narine puts himself in the right places to fetch the maximum possible Dream11 Fantasy points. His dual scoring ability is probably the highest in the tournament; get him in at all costs.
Ben Stokes would be my final all-rounder pick for this game. 2 overs at the death and being asked to play at number 5, Ben Stokes too is one of the best used all-rounders in the league. While he hasn’t set the IPL on fire with the bat yet, 2 overs the death and the opportunity to face at least 25 balls every innings is enough for him to be a regular member of my Dream11 teams.
Batsmen for RR vs KKR Dream11
Nitish Rana and Robin Uthappa have been shouldering the responsibility to set things up for Andre Russell in the last few games. Uthappa has been playing the anchor’s role brilliantly, with Rana oscillating between the anchor and the aggressor. Both of them have been scoring runs and are in brilliant form. Uthappa’s risk free cricket gives him the edge over Samson, who after that brilliant 100 is again finding his feet in the tournament.
What also works for Rana is that he is often tossed the ball to bowl a couple of overs in the middle, especially when DK is looking to break a partnership. You see a dual scoring opportunity, you dive straight in.
Ajinkya Rahane plays the most risk-free shots ever and gets to enjoy the powerplay overs too. With Dream11 not putting too much focus on strike rate, I would always rate Rahane over Samson, as Rahane will always get you more runs in a season than Samson, because of the way he operates.
For the final pick for this game, I need to get in a batsman worth 8cr. From the players on display, Shubman Gill seems like the best possible pick.
