SA vs ENG Dream11 Prediction : South Africa vs England Match Report, Probable Playing 11 and Best Dream 11 Team

Riding on a brilliant century from new skipper Quinton de Kock, South Africa started off a new era of with a bang by registering a comprehensive 7 wickets victory in the opening ODI of the three-match series. After a below-par performance in the Test series, it came as a refreshing victory for the Proteas. The bowlers did a pretty decent job to restrict the No 1 ODI team to a below-par score of 258 in their allotted 50 overs.

Joe Denly was the top scorer for England with a well compiled 87 while Tabraiz Shamsi proved to be the wrecker in chief for the hosts as he finished with impressive figures of 3/38. The only time England looked to be in the game was the first 10 overs when they bagged the wicket of Reeza Hendricks. From there on it proved to be an uphill task for England as the Proteas chased the target down with 14 deliveries to spare. Temba Bavuma played a terrific knock of 98 and completed De Kock to perfection.

On the other hand, England will look to return to winning ways. Their bowling looked clueless in the absence of Jofra Archer and Mark Wood. Barring Chris Woakes, the South African batters were on top of all the English bowlers. With the series on the line, the visitors will look to put up an inspired performance and get back on winning track.

Pitch Conditions and Toss

The surface at Durban has always supported the faster bowlers. However, with rain hovering around, it will be interesting to see if the team wins the toss and field. But it is not easy to chase in Durban. Hence it will be a tricky proposition for the captain.

SA vs ENG Dream11 Wicket-keepers

Quinton de Kock and Jonny Bairstow will be the two wicket-keepers in our dream XI team. De Kock looked in sensational touch in the 1st ODI and was instrumental in ensuring a comfortable victory for the home team. He scored a well crafted 107 and will look to continue the good form. Bairstow has been an integral part of the England limited-overs set up and will look to get back among runs. He scored 19 in the opening clash and will look for something big in the must-win encounter.

SA vs ENG Dream11 Batsmen

Joe Root and Jason Roy will be the first two batsmen in our dream XI team. Both these batsmen had rare off days in the 1st ODI but they are class players and it might not be a wise idea to leave them out of the dream XI team. Roy has got England off to flying starts on several occasions and will look to play a match-winning knock tomorrow. On the other hand, Root scored 17 in the opening ODI and bagged a wicket. Given the class he possesses, a big knock should just be around the corner.

The next two batsmen in our dream XI team will be Temba Bavuma and Joe Denly. Both these batsmen will come into the 2nd ODI on the back of brilliant knocks in the opening ODI. It was Denly’s knock of 87 which helped England post a competitive score of 258. On the other hand, Bavuma played a classy knock and supported De Kock to perfection. He scored 98 and will look to carry on from where he left at the Newlands.

SA vs ENG Dream11 All-rounders

Chris Woakes and Jon Jon Smuts will be the two all-rounders in our dream XI team. Woakes was the only bowler who looked to make inroads for England. He bagged a solitary wicket and also chipped in with a vital knock of 40 under pressure. On the other hand, JJ Smuts is a fine young all-rounder who had hardly anything to do in the opening clash. He bagged a wicket and remained unbeaten on 7. He could be a wild card pick in your dream XI team.

SA vs ENG Dream11 Bowlers

Lungi Ngidi, Tabraiz Shamsi and Chris Jordan will be the three bowlers in our dream XI team. Ngidi and Jordan bagged a wicket each for their nation. Ngidi is spearheading the Proteas attack in the absence of Kagiso Rabada and he will look to lead from the front. Jordan bowled just 5 overs the other day but chipped in with a wicket.

Tabraiz Shamsi was the best bowler in the opening ODI. His rise in the last few months has been phenomenal. He has worked in his variations and the results are there for everyone to see. He bagged three crucial wickets in the opening clash conceding just 38 runs.

Captain and Vice-captain

Quinton de Kock will be the captain of the day while Tabraiz Shamsi will be the vice-captain.
