Pakistan Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has expressed his admiration for former Indian Captain and veteran keeper MS Dhoni.

Indian and Pakistani players always shared a very good bond between themselves. The matches beteen the two countries are always hard-fought on the field. But apart from that, players like Yuvraj Singh, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar and Harbhajan Singh shared a sense of brotherhood among themselves. They not only went out together but also went for dinners and spent time with each other.

In line with the same, Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has now said that he greatly admires MS Dhoni and looks up to him.”MS Dhoni has led his side well as a captain in all three formats of the game, so I definitely do get inspired by him.

“I have only met him once, which was at the 4th June 2017 during the India-Pakistan game. When I look at him as a player and as a captain, I definitely get inspired by him,” Pakistan skipper Sarfraz said.

Interestingly, it was an MS Dhoni led side who won the Champions Trophy in 2013. Where as in 2017, it was another wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Ahmed who led his team to victory after defeating India in the finals.

While MS Dhoni gave up the captaincy in January 2017, Sarfaraz Ahmed remains the captain of Pakistan. He leads the team in all the three formats and is very popular among his countrymen. However, following a string of low scores in the test matches, there have been demands of removing Sarfaraz from Test captaincy.
