Sarfaraz Ahmed

Pakistan Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed tried to imitate MS Dhoni in a match against Zimbabwe but failed.

Pakistan have recently clean swept the five-match ODI series against Zimbabwe in clinical fashion. Sarfaraz Ahmed led his boys well and team blossomed under his captaincy.

Indian and Pakistani players always shared a very good bond between themselves. The matches beteen the two countries are always hard-fought on the field. But apart from that, players like Yuvraj Singh, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar and Harbhajan Singh shared a sense of brotherhood among themselves. They not only went out together but also went for dinners and spent time with each other.

Recently, in the fifth and the final match against Zimbabawe, Sarfaraz got rid of the keeping gloves and rolled his arm over. However, he did not have a very successful stint and conceded 15 runs without taking a wicket. Comparisons are now being made about Dhoni and Sarfaraz as MSD too loves to have a bowl.

Interestingly, it was an MS Dhoni led side who won the Champions Trophy in 2013. Where as in 2017, it was another wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Ahmed who led his team to victory after defeating India in the finals.

While MS Dhoni gave up the captaincy in January 2017, Sarfaraz Ahmed remains the captain of Pakistan. He leads the team in all the three formats and is very popular among his countrymen. However, following a string of low scores in the test matches, there have been demands of removing Sarfaraz from Test captaincy.
