Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch: Both the Raw Champions set to walk into next year’s Wrestlemania with their titles intact as per reports.
Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins have had a quite a 2019 with their fates mirroring each other. Becky Lynch started 2018 in obscurity. The Irish lasskicker was devastatingly buried beneath a mountain called Charlotte Flair.

A heel turn at last year’s SummerSlam revived her career. Fans rallied behind her and the WWE could do nothing but to ride the wave. Come 2019, she became one of the most popular wrestler in the company. She won the Royal Rumble and handed Ronda Rousey her first loss in the company.
While Seth has always been popular among fans, he has always been placed beneath Roman Reigns. You could say that his former Shield Brother was his mountain. Roman Reigns’ unfortunate exit through Leukaemia gave Rollins the opportunity to step up as the main guy of the company. Like Lynch, Rollins went on to win the Royal Rumble and slayed Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania, his first loss in the Grandest Stage after 4 years.
In between all this though, a relationship between the two blossomed and the top prize holders on WWE Raw are now a couple. A fact that the WWE wants to cash in on. The couple have been on promotions, media events, magazine covers. All this has brought more mainstream attentions towards the WWE brand. Something that Vince McMahon so desperately craves.
Wwfoldschool.com, by way of slice wrestling, has reported the following news:
“Also, there’s a big possibility that both Rollins and Lynch walk into WrestleMania 36 next year as Universal Champion & RAW Women’s Champion respectively. If that happens, then both of them would hold their Titles for almost a full year (WrestleMania 35 took place on April 7, 2019, and WrestleMania 36 is on April 5, 2020).”
Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch winning tonight was almost a certainty. However, them carrying their titles till next years mania is definitely surprising. It will be interesting to see how the WWE handles their reign and on-screen relationship without making it look stale.
