Seth Rollins Vs Brock Lesnar set for SummerSlam

Seth Rollins Vs Brock Lesnar set for SummerSlam after the architect powers through 9 other opponents in a battle royal to earn the Universal title opportunity against The Beast.

The WWE had earlier announced a Cross Brand All-star top 10 Battle Royal. The match would feature Big E, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, Braun Strowman, Cesaro, Baron Corbin and Roman Reigns. The winner of this match would go on to challenge Brock Lesnar for his Universal Championship at SummerSlam.

Cesaro started the match looking very dominant but ended up being the first person eliminated from the match. Strowman then threw Lashley outside the ring. Sami Zayn then tossed Big E to eliminate the New Day heavyweight. Orton and Mysterio combined together for an RKO 619 combo to eliminate Zayn.

The two veterans combined once again, this time against Reigns. However, the big dog fought back and superman punched Orton out of the ring but not over the top rope. Corbin then eliminated Rey only to find himself surrounded by the remaining baby faces.

Rollins, Reigns and Strowman teamed up to eliminate Corbin. Strowman then turned his attention towards Reigns and Rollins. Reigns tried to fight back with a spear but Strowman quickly moved out the way and Reigns hit Rollins instead. Strowman then tried to throw Reigns out of the ring but the Big Dog managed to hang on. Rollins then ran from behind and pushed both of them over the top rope.

Orton then came from behind and striked Rollins with a DDT. Orton the taunted Lesnar and at one point it looked like we could get a SummerSlam rematch between the two. However, that was not meant to be as Rollins hit Orton with a Curb Stomp before he threw him out of the ring.

With that Rollins will now get a chance to reclaim the championship he lost to Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules. Rollins told Lesnar that he was a man possessed and would do anything to get his title back.

He promised that SummerSlam would be a repeat of Wrestlemania where he dethroned the beast. Lesnar approached him with a steel chair in hand but hit the apron instead before backing off.

SummerSlam will take place on August 11, 2019 at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
