Shikhar Dhawan catch vs CSK

Shikhar Dhawan catch vs CSK: Delhi Capitals senior players was seen catching a tumbling catch against Chennai Super Kings.

During the 50th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals at Chennai, Delhi Capitals opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan was grabbing a tumbling catch to dismiss Chennai Super Kings vice-captain Suresh Raina.

It all happened on the penultimate delivery of the 15th over when the southpaw’s attempt to up the ante saw him walking back to the pavilion. Trying to attack DC left-arm spinner Jagadeesha Suchith, Raina top-edged a delivery on the off-side.

Dhawan, who was fielding at point, initially mis-judged the catch. While he was required to run back to grab the catch, he was seen circling around. Fortunately for Capitals, Dhawan somehow held on to the ball albeit with an unconventional method.

Coming in to bat at No. 3 in the fourth over, Raina registered his 37th IPL half-century. Top-scoring for Super Kings, Raina ended up scoring 59 (37) with the help of eight fours and a six. The southpaw shared an 83-run partnership for the second wicket alongside opening batsman Faf du Plessis (39).

After DC captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to field, CSK ended up scoring 179/4 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. With bowling figures of 4-0-28-2, Suchith was Capitals’ highest wicket-taker.
