Bangladesh has slowly but surely grown in stature in world cricket. They have started producing top quality players and they have also started getting good results against other international teams. (Soumya Sarkar gets clean bowled and then asks for the DRS !)

The ICC World Cup 2015 has proved to be a turning point for Bangladesh cricket. Their superb performances in the tournament have shown the cricketing world that they are now becoming a force to be reckoned with in the near future.

But Bangladesh cricket have also provided some very funny moments both on and off the field in recent times. Be it the premature celebration by Mushfiqur Rahim in the ICC World T20 against India or Subashis Roy’s celebration, when Kusal Mendis hit him for a six. (Soumya Sarkar gets clean bowled and then asks for the DRS !)

But they seem to have outdone themselves in this situation.

In the ongoing Test match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, Soumya Sarkar got bowled but then proceeded to ask for the DRS.

He walked off the ground with confusion, not sure about what had happened in that delivery. And so were the watching audience.

The ball seemed to go through everything and hit the wickets but Sarkar did not seem to hear the sound of the ball hitting the stumps. He was confused as to why all the fielders were appealing and then celebrating in a few moments time.

And when the umpire raised his finger, Sarkar wanted to understand what had happened and hence asked for the DRS. Had he just looked back he would have seen that the bails had been dislodged. (Soumya Sarkar gets clean bowled and then asks for the DRS !)

If nothing else it would have saved him a whole lot of embarrassment !
