The camaraderie between MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli is an open secret. It was speculated that after Virat Kohli took over the reins of the Indian team from the hands of MS Dhoni, they may not be at very good terms with each other. However, as time has passed by, their relationship has grown with leaps and bounds.
Kohli said after taking leadership responsibility that Dhoni would always remain his skipper. During the matches as well, it is frequently seen that Kohli turns to Dhoni for advice.

In a recent chat with India Tv, Ganguly said, “Virat Kohli is a brilliant captain. He always wants his team to win. Virat has handled MS Dhoni well. We haven’t seen this happen in the past. Normally, former captains fade away with time. But Virat has given confidence to Dhoni that he is still an important player for the team in ODIs and T20Is.”
The Former Captain had some good things to say about Dhoni as well. He believed that Dhoni would prove to be great asset for the team leading up to the 2019 World Cup.
“Dhoni is a great player. He has played in so many matches, he has captained India in so many matches. He is a legend. The next World Cup is just an year away and it will be played in England. Till then, I feel Dhoni will have an important role to play in the team,” he further said.
Kohli had earlier said that the team would shuffle with the middle order and also make unexpected moves. This effectively means that MS Dhoni may also get a hit higher from his usual batting position in the coming matches.
