Team India led by Virat Kohli have done quite a sensational job in all three formats, scripting exceptional series wins in the home season and putting up a more than able performance in the Champions Trophy earlier this year.

South Africa will be the biggest challenge of Virat Kohli’s captaincy career so far, as India have never registered a series win in South Africa so far, having won just 2 tests there.

Former India captain, Sourav Ganguly who has been a regular in giving good pieces of advice to the Indian players shared some of his experience ahead of the big tour.

Ganguly wants the Indian skipper Virat Kohli to instil the same fearless attitude into the players, which they have been carrying for the past 15 months, into the big South African tour.

In addition to that, he urged the Indians to take calculated risks for that is the only way India can come out on top in foreign conditions.

“Just be fearless and take the risks. I think we have the right team. We will lose some, but I am sure we will win the most,” Ganguly said according to IBTimes.

When asked about Virat Kohli’s captaincy, Ganguly said that Kohli has instilled a lot of confidence in his players and is building an empire for Indian cricket in all three formats.

“Apart from his understanding of the game, I think the way he handles his players is simply superb,” Ganguly said.

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli will hope everything positive happens in India’s favour as he will expect the boys to match his aggression level in a bid to win matches.

The last time South Africa toured India, India ended up losing both the ODI and the T20 series, something that Kohli would like to correct in South Africa.

The tour kicks off with the test series which starts on the 5th of January in Cape Town.

Virat Kohli would be hoping that his players can rise to the occasion and play some brilliant cricket in South Africa.
