Stone Cold Steve Austin: WWE Legend could make a return soon according to reports. The rattlesnake is rumored to go face to face with RAW women’s champion, Becky Lynch.
The WWE has been on a downward spiral in the last few months. Vince McMahon has employed several methods to arrest the downfall. He has introduced the 24/7 championship, debuted NXT stars and even recalled legends such as the Undertaker and Goldberg. Vince has seen success in patches but for the most part the ratings have remained stagnant.

It is in this scenario that the WWE have frantically looked at every available option they have. They have appointed Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff as the Executive Directors of WWE RAW and SmackDown respectively. The WWE are reportedly moving away from PG TV and are embracing edgier content on their programming. And if the latest rumors are true, they are gearing up for a Stone Cold return to the WWE.
“Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s new Straight Up Steve Austin show will premier on the USA Network directly after the Monday, August 12th episode of Raw. The Wrestling Observer has speculated that the Texas Rattlesnake may turn up on Raw to help promote his new series.
The series, a 7-episode interview show, will see Austin interviewing a celebrity each week and discussing their career. One of the celebrities to be featured on the show just happens to be Raw women’s champion Becky Lynch. Austin could appear on WWE RAW to help promote his show.
In all honesty, if Stone Cold does appear on WWE’s flagship show, it will end up benefiting both. Fans would easily tune in just to get a glimpse of a star who at his peak was arguably the most popular wrestler on the planet. While he can use the platform to bring eyeballs to his show. However, at this point, this is all just speculation.
