Pokimane is one of the most famous female streamers, as she has over 9.4 million followers on Twitch. But lately, the “Twitch Queen” is focusing on other types of content, like releasing vlogs on YouTube. She has over 6.64 million subscribers on the red platform.
The 27-year-old recently released a new exciting vlog on her channel. In this video, she could be seen going to TwitchCon 2023. However, the best part of the video was Poki meeting her family in Morocco. It made Pokimane realize the harsh reality of life.
Pokimane gets emotional while talking about her grandparents
Pokimane decided to go back to her Moroccan origins after attending TwitchCon 2023 Paris. She spent a lot of time there with her extended family. It was a heartwarming experience for the 27-year-old, as she had met them after many years.
But the “Twitch Queen” got a little emotional during her visit to Morocco. After giving money to her relatives, Pokimane realized she might not meet some of them during her next visit. This thought also made the streamer tear up in the video.
“That’s so hard to come to terms with. I mean like of course people die at some point. But that morbid reality is not something that you need to think about very frequently. But when you can only see certain family members once every few years, it’s really something you need to think about.”
Pokimane further shares how she is often haunted by the thought of not spending much time with them. After all, she grew up in a foreign country. But what saddens her more is she can’t spend much time with them despite being a successful streamer.
“You can’t help but think what if I was able to have spent more time with them, growing up like if we didn’t grow up in another country. Or, should I be making even more time to try to come see them. But realistically when you’re on the other side of the world, it’s very hard even for someone like me with such privileges.”
