Sunil Chhetri discloses the name of IPL team he would want to represent in the tournament

Sunil Chhetri discloses the name of IPL team: The Indian football captain has named the IPL franchise he wants to represent.

Sunil Chhetri, captain of the Indian football team, has taken the name of Royal Challengers Bangalore as an Indian Premier League franchise which he would want to represent if given the chance to play in the cash-rich league.

It all started with Chhetri conducting a Question and Answer session on his Twitter handle aiding people to take a break from their “Work From Home” routines in the wake of coronavirus.

“Alright then guys, take a little break from your WFH routines and let’s make the most of this social distancing with a Q&A session. Keep the questions fun and I’ll try answering as many as I can. Fire away,” read Chhetri’s tweet.

Being asked by a fan regarding his preferred IPL franchise, Chhetri laid emphasis on the fact that he himself is from Bangalore and that he would want to represent RCB due to the same reason. It is worth mentioning that Chhetri also leads Bengaluru FC in the Indian Super League.

The Indian Premier League is another tournament which has been duly affected by coronavirus. With the situation regarding the future of the tournament uncertain, there are a lot of speculations being made on it. Most recently, the Indian government has suggested the organisers to not conduct IPL 2020 in such times.

The optimist in him is waiting for the day when Punjab Kings will win their maiden Indian Premier League title. When not watching cricket, he is mostly found in a cinema hall watching a Punjabi movie.
