Suresh Raina optimistic about donning India colours again
Ace cricketer Suresh Raina in a ‘Breakfast with Champions’ show hosted by Gaurav Kapur spoke about the Indian team selection and the passion to don the colours again.
Suresh Raina has been trying hard to make a classic rebound. He is a regular in posting videos of himself sweating it out at the gym. Well, he is in good shape at the moment.
However, the Indian selectors are adamant not to open the doors for Suresh Raina at the moment. Raina said that he is confident of making a return in the times to come.
Raina said that everyone has made a return to the team after a string of failures. He also said that Yuvraj Singh and Ashish Nehra are the two who inspired him to the core.
“I have got this passion to get back. Everyone has made a comeback. Yuvraj Singh’s comeback can’t be replicated by anyone, Ashish Nehra played at age of 38 and that has inspired me.
If not today then tomorrow, not tomorrow then the day after tomorrow, if not then after 10 days, if not then 10 months after but Khilana to Padega (they have to let me play),” said Raina.
Suresh Raina was last seen flexing his muscles for India against England in the T20I game earlier this year where he essayed a flamboyant fifty to his name.
There were reports linked to Raina failing the Yo-Yo test. To be a part of the Indian team set up one has to pass the fitness test according to the chairman of selectors MSK Prasad.
