Suresh Raina sends a wonderful message to MS Dhoni
MS Dhoni played one of his all-time great knocks last night, as the old dog showed that he still had a few tricks up his sleeve.
Dhoni’s superb 70 was enough for CSK to beat RCB, as Kohli’s hapless face told the whole story. With 99 to win of 42 deliveries, RCB were surely the favourites to win the match.
But no body told that to Dhoni, as the great man calmly played out the overs and targeted Siraj and Anderson to finish off the match for CSK.
It was a timely reminder to all those who doubted Dhoni’s ability to finish off matches for India, as his performances for India over the past few months have left a lot to be desired.
Dhoni was now taking far too many balls to settle himself, and then was unable to accelerate in the last few overs. This IPL has been a different story though, as regular playing time has given Dhoni the opportunity to get himself in good nick and play the match as and how he wants to.
Social media went ballistic after the match, as people were completely in awe of the great man. Cricketers and Bollywood celebrities were equally amazed, as the greatest finisher of all time gave us a masterclass in chasing down a target.
Dhoni’s CSK team mate, Suresh Raina was ecstatic after his friend’s display, and sent a beautiful message for MS Dhoni on Twitter.
Here is the Tweet from Raina!
Nothing can go wrong till @msdhoni is at the crease. Vintage stuff from captain cool!! An excellent innings from @RayuduAmbati to set things up for us. All in all a great win for @ChennaiIPL! Keep it boys! #RCBvCSK #IPL2018 pic.twitter.com/NBgyn1YI9J
