Suresh Raina wishes Mohammad Amir a very happy Eid

Indian star batsman Suresh Raina wishes ‘bhai jaan’ Mohammad Amir a very happy Eid.

The camaraderie between Indian and Pakistan cricketers is an open secret. Although the two countries don’t share a very good relationship as far as the diplomatic ties are concerned, the people of both the countries are culturally very similar. They have a lot of similarities in their food and language.

This is the reason that many Indian cricketers get along very well with their Pakistani counterparts. Some of the players who are widely followed on both sides of the border are Shoaib Akhtar, Yuvraj Singh, Shahid Afridi and Virender Sehwag.

On the auspicious occasion of Eid as Mohammad Amir posted a picture of himself with his wife Narjis Khatoon and his daughter, Suresh Raina showed a heartwarming gesture as he wished the controversial Pakistani pacer a very happy Eid.

Although it has been a while since India and Pakistan have locked horns with each other, the last time both teams met was in the final of the Champions Trophy. In that match, India was soundly defeated by Pakistan.

All the same, it is a long standing wish of the fans of both countries to have a bilateral series.
Amir is a very talented individual beyond doubt but he has had a very turbulent career. He has seen the highs during his teen age when he was considered to be a very promising fast bowler and somebody who could bloom into a great left arm pacer.
However, after his involvement in spot fixing he was slapped a five year ban and remained in wilderness. After his comeback, he has shown glimpses of yesteryears. However, he has failed to deliver consistent performances and keeps blowing hot and cold. Someday he would pull off an awe-inspiring performance. On other days, he can look in a little insipid. If Amir wishes to lengthen his International career, he would have to work hard on his consistency.
