Virat Kohli celebrated Father’s Day in style by posting an old pic of himself and his Dad on Twitter.

Indian captain Virat Kohli could not take part in County cricket for Surrey due to his neck injury. The County has now announced Kohli’s replacement.
There was a lot of hype around Virat Kohli’s County stint. Surrey was also very excited and kept no stone unturned in promoting Virat Kohli’s arrival in England. Unfortunately, Kohli picked up a neck injury during an IPL match against Sunrisers Hyderabad and was ruled out from County cricket.
He was advised bed rest for 2 weeks. This made him unavailable as far as his previous commitments were concerned.

In a bid to improve his record in England and get some practice before India’s all important tour to England, Virat Kohli was supposed to miss the one-off Test against Afghanistan and at least the first T20I against Ireland. Although Kohli was not able to take part in the Test against Afghanistan due to his injury, he has recently passed the Yo Yo test with flying colours and will be available for the two-match T20I series against Ireland.

Meanwhile, Surrey has announced Virat Kohli’s replacement in South African wicket keeper-batsman Theunis De Bruyn. After the announcement de Bruyn said, “I am delighted to be joining Surrey, a club with rich history, for the next two Championship matches. It has always been one of my ambitions to play county cricket.”

Alec Stewart, the Director of Cricket for Surrey welcomed De Bruyn to the club saying, “We’re very pleased Theunis is available join us for our games at Guildford and Scarborough. With Jason Roy and Tom Curran involved in the current One Day series against Australia and Ben Foakes and Sam Curran representing the England Lions, Theunis will provide vital reinforcement for our next two Specsavers County Championship matches.”

I, a failed cricketer say: write picturesque, write insightful; otherwise don’t write. My writings are a source of self pleasure. Enjoy a fiercely fought test session much more than a slam bang T20. I write anything, as per whim- news piece, feature, opinion, editorial, preview, analysis etc. Hope to write a book one day!
