Lachman 556 in Warzone 2.0

The recent May 31 patch notes brought nerfs to two of the best weapons in the Warzone 2.0 Season 3 reloaded meta; the ISO Hemlock and the Cronen Squall. Here is the best Warzone 2.0 AR loadout post those nerfs.

The Warzone 2.0 meta has been uncertain after the recent patch nerfs to the Cronen Squall and the ISO Hemlock. However, those nerfs can give a window of opportunity to players. It gives them a chance to make their own meta and try out other weapons and experiment with what works well.

Warzone 2 Guru, JGOD made a video breaking down the patch notes. In it, he mentioned the next meta in the AR category post the nerfs of the Hemlock and the Cronen. Let us break it down.

The Best Warzone 2.0 AR Loadout Post ISO and Cronen Nerf

The Lachmann 556 is a close second to the ISO Hemlock and the Cronen Squall. However, it was out of the meta for quite a while due to the aforementioned weapons taking over the game. But thanks to the patch of May 31st, it can now receive a place in the meta.

JGOD’s explanation of the situation was viable as it takes a while for Warzone to develop a meta. People try out different things and then there are prominent guns seen in the hands after the time of experimentation. This patch is a little different, take a look.

JGOD’s Explanation

In the video, JGOD goes through all of the patch notes and highlights that the nerf in the ISO Hemlock might give the advantage over to the Lachmann or the Kastov 545. However, there is one condition to that statement. The changes have to be noticeable for the guns to get out of the meta.

At the time of writing, the meta has not drastically changed but people are leaning more towards the Lachmann because of the ISO Hemlock’s slight decrease in TTK. That being said, let us look at what the best loadout for the Lachmann 556 would be in this meta.

 Attachments

  • Optic: VLK 4.0 Optic
  • Magazine: 40-Round Mag
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Muzzle: Harbinger D20
  • Barrel: 15.9″ Lachmann Rapp Barrel

The first attachment we will equip on the Lachmann is the VLK 4.0 Optic. It will provide decent magnification and a clear line of sight on the target which lets you be accurate in long ranges. Complement this attachment with the 40-Round Mag.

The extended magazine is to ensure that we do not stop firing at our opponents no matter the range. It lets us take out multiple enemies at the same time without having to reload. The FTAC Ripper 56 underbarrel is a staple for any Assault Rifle loadout due to its many benefits.

It gives the weapon an increase in hip-fire accuracy, recoil stabilization, and aiming stability. The next attachment is going to be the Harbinger D20 Muzzle which provides a noticeable increase in damage range, recoil smoothness, and bullet velocity. It also offers sound suppression but it will cost you ADS and aiming walking speed along with aiming stability.

The last attachment we will use is the 15.9” Lachmann Rapp Barrel increases the bullet velocity and damage range of the gun further along with recoil control and hip-fire accuracy. These will give you an edge in combat, particularly in medium to long-range gunfights.

Why Should You Use This Loadout

The utility of this loadout comes from the weapon. It is a versatile pick no matter the range. However, when you combine it with attachments that increase its TTK, it becomes even better. With the 40-Round Mag, you can shoot as much as you want.

Combine this loadout with a Sniper Rifle or use it as a solo weapon with a secondary, it all depends on your playstyle. But with the combination of TTK attachments, an extended mag, and a clear Optic, this will be a beast of a loadout that can easily defeat the ISO Hemlock and take on the Cronen Squall.

Use smoke grenades and throwing knives to complement this setup with good equipment. Use a perk package of your choice. For more Warzone 2 content, click here.
