The FTac Recon in the current meta is underused because many believe better options exist. However, this FTac Recon loadout in Warzone 2.0 will make it viable.

The Warzone 2.0 meta changed drastically after the Season 4 Update. The whole health and plating system was given an overhaul, and it divided the community. On the weapon side of the update, guns like the M4, Lachmann 556, and ISO 45 replaced the Cronen Squall.

Since the Cronen Squall was the preferred battle rifle in the game, many players disregarded other options. Now that it is not in the meta anymore, it allows weapons like the FTac Recon to come into the limelight. This guide will look at the FTac Recon battle rifle and explore its capabilities in the game.

The Best Loadout for the FTac Recon in Warzone 2.0 Season 4

The FTac Recon rarely gets time to shine because of other AR options, but it is a good option. You need suitable attachments to enhance their positives and almost negate all the negatives. The FTac Recon is the best when players use it in close to medium-range gunfights.

It is such a good weapon up close that it can easily outgun most SMGs. Therefore, it is a good choice for smaller maps like Ashika Island, Al Mazrah, and Vondel Park. Let us see how beginners can unlock the weapon before making a class loadout.

How to Unlock the FTac Recon in Warzone 2.0

This job will be relatively easy for beginners because they must get the M4 to Level 13. Once they do, they will unlock the FTac Recon. Alternatively, one can go to the DMZ mode if one wants to skip the whole process.

They must extract the weapon with the FTac Recon, and they will unlock it permanently. This is one of the best ways for beginners to open it because it eliminates the tedious grinding process. Plus, you will need to level the FTac Recon to take advantage of the attachments in this loadout.

Attachment Breakdown

  • Optic: Your Preference
  • Magazine: 15-Round Mag
  • Ammunition: .458 High Velocity
  • Underbarrel: Edge-47 Grip
  • Muzzle: Sakin-Tread 40

The first attachment we will use is an Optic of your choice. Most people use Aim OP V-4, the SZ Recharge, or the Schlager magnification Optics for better tracking. The Optic will allow you to lock onto enemies over range better to hit accurate shots.

Follow that up with the 15 Round Magazine, which will reduce the ammo capacity but significantly increase the weapon’s overall speed. It gives stat bonuses for ADS, movement, and sprint-to-fire speeds. It also allows you to reload the gun faster.

The .458 High-Velocity Ammunition is a standard attachment to increase the bullet velocity of the gun. However, it decreases the gun’s range. However, that won’t be a problem since we will use this weapon only for close to medium ranges. The Edge-47 Grip is an Underbarrel attachment that helps stabilize the gun.

The attachment gives stat bonuses for aiming idle stability and recoil stabilization. Lastly, we finish the weapon loadout with the Sakin Tread-40 to make the weapon an accurate monster up close. This attachment will offer more horizontal and vertical recoil control. This allows you to have accurate shots no matter the weapon’s range.

Secondary, Perks and Equipment

An LMG or a Heavy AR will probably be your best bet with the FTac Recon because this loadout is made for close to medium ranges. You can also Opt for a Sniper Rifle, depending on your playstyle. It all comes down to how you approach the game. If you want to play a laid-back support role, then pick a Sniper. However, if you want to be aggressive, go with an AR.

The perks will also vary depending on what your playstyle is. Let us check them out.

  • Base Perk 1: Double Time
  • Base Perk 2: Overkill
  • Bonus Perk: Fast Hands
  • Ultimate Perk: Ghost
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Tactical Equipment: Smoke Grenade/ Flashbang

These will be the perks that we will utilize in the game to get maximum efficiency out of both weapons. Double Time will double the tactical sprint duration and increase crouch movement speed allowing for better strafing. Overkill is crucial to carry two primary weapons in the same loadout.

Fast Hands will be important when you are close to the enemy and want to switch to another weapon for various reasons. Switching to another weapon is more rapid than reloading, after all. For the final perk, we will use Ghost. It will let you disappear off the enemy radar when UAVs and Heartbeat Sensors are in the area.

A Semtex is going to be our lethal choice because of its versatility. It does massive damage in proximity, so it is best to lob one near a downed enemy to guarantee a confirmed kill. For the tactical, you can choose between a smoke grenade or a flashbang, depending on your playstyle—flashbangs for aggressive playstyles and a smoke grenade for defensive ones.

Why Should You Use This Loadout

This loadout uses the FTac Recon properly and makes a loadout with attachments that complement its strengths. The gun is excellent up close but has some speed and stability issues. Those issues will become the gun’s strengths with the attachments we use.

In addition, the perks, lethal and tactical setup we used will be crucial to aid you in the fight against the enemies. A smoke grenade will let you escape enemy fire, while the Semtex is useful for confirming kills. Ensure you carry a powerful secondary to take on enemies regardless of the range.
