A major part of being successful in the WWE lies in how well a superstar connects with the WWE Universe. A superstar’s entrance music is a major determinant in producing loud ‘pops’ (crowd reaction). As soon as the music plays, the crowd goes into a wild frenzy. We have a look at the top 5 entrance themes of WWE!

1) Stone Cold Steve Austin

Shattering glass and the crowd going nuts! Nothing can quite match up to this experience as a fan. For a very long time, Stone Cold Steve Austin’s music will remain synonymous to the awesome Attitude Era of the WWE. Arive to the glass shattering music! Stunner! Leave! is something that is alive in the minds of every WWE fan.

The theme, created by Jim Johnston, “I Won’t Do What You Tell Me” perfectly fits Stone Cold’s image. Even with the lack of lyrics, one gets the feeling of a tough ‘SOB’ on just listening to the music. This makes it one of the top 5 entrance themes of WWE.

2) The Rock

The most electrifying man of sports entertainment also possesses one of the most electrifying entrance themes of all time. It’s fun, it’s exciting and always sends the crowd in a frenzy. This is one of the main reasons why he gets one of the biggest pops of all time from the WWE Universe.

Other than the catchy tune, The Rock’s patent catchphrase ‘If you smell what The Rock’s cookin?’ acts as an icing on the cake. Needless to say, the WWE tries to leverage this by ensuring The Rock’s presence in every Wrestlemania. The arena of a close to a lakh people truly go bonkers at the entrance music of The Great One.

3) Shawn Michaels

One doesnt get the moniker of ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ for nothing. Shawn Michaels achieved legendary status in the WWE through some awe-inspiring performances in the ring. Moreover, his unmatchable charisma made it impossible for the WWE Universe to take their eyes off him.

His entrance theme ‘The Sexy Boy’ oozed style and charisma all over. It was a song that struck a chord with the masses and made HBK stand out. The fact that he lent his vocals on the track also added to the song’s overall charm.

4) Edge

The Rated R Superstar send shivers down the WWE Universe’s spines as a heel(villain). From shocking money in the bank cash- ins to live sex celebrations, Edge was a perfect antagonist in every aspect. And what does a WWE Superstar like him need? A befitting entrance theme. ‘Metalingus’ provided him with that, if not more!

The theme beginning with the rasping utterance of ‘You think you know me!’ signalled his arrival. The theme suited his persona magnificently. It was just perfect for someone like Edge : opportunistic, cunning and most importantly, rated R.

5) C M Punk

C M Punk gained unparalleled adulation during his feud with John Cena in 2011. People just got hooked to his personality, to his anti-authority figure and the fact that he mimicked no one. His character in the ring was the same portrayal of who he really was. However, it was with his new entrance that he went on to greater heights.

After temporarily going away from the company, Punk surprisingly returned with a new and improved entrance theme. ‘The Cult of Personality’ was the perfect fit for C M Punk. He was quickly achieving cult status in the WWE and his legions of fans absolutely loved him. This song endeared him even more to the WWE Universe.
