SmackDown top heel babyface

For the longest time, Roman Reigns has remained WWE’s most powerful heel superstar. Despite being a villainous character, Roman Reigns is still a fan favorite. Pro wrestling is like a sports opera. Here, the babyfaces (heroic protagonist) need bad guys. The latest edition of SmackDown in Knoxville was the first SmackDown since the Draft 2023. The roster shake-up has brought new heels and babyfaces to SmackDown. In this article, we are going to view the current top babyfaces and heels on SmackDown.

The WWE Draft also enabled superstars from the development territory to make their main roster debut. NXT stars such as Grayson Waller, Cameron Grimes, Indi Hartwell, and many others have now been drafted to the main brands of WWE. So, who are the babyfaces and heels on WWE’s blue brand?

Top babyfaces and heels of SmackDown revealed

PWInsider reports the list of superstars on SmackDown that are internally booked as top babyfaces and heels on SmackDown. The top babyfaces on SmackDown include Edge, Bobby Lashley, AJ Styles, Sheamus, Rey Mysterio, and Santos Escobar.

On the other hand, the list of top heels in the business includes Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, LA Knight, the US Champion Austin Theory, Grayson Waller, and Karrion Kross.

It’s worth noting that Edge is reportedly internally listed as the top babyface. This may lead the Rated R Superstar to reignite his feud with the Head of the Table, Roman Reigns.

However, Roman Reigns is not scheduled to defend his WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at Night of Champions. We will have to wait and see if the former World Champion challenges Roman Reigns in the foreseeable future.

Roman Reigns is set to team up with Solo Sikoa against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens

In the latest edition of SmackDown, Paul Heyman announced that Roman Reigns will team up with Solo Sikoa and vie for the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championships.

Although Roman Reigns will hit the 1000-day mark as the Universal Champion at Night of Champions, he will not defend his World Titles. But rather, The Tribal Chief aims to bring back the Tag Team gold to the Bloodline.

After spurning The Usos, Roman Reigns has taken it upon himself to face his old rivals. The segment on SmackDown has also led to speculation that The Usos could turn on Roman Reigns and become babyfaces. It remains to be seen how things play out at Night of Champions.
