Top 5 SMG Loadouts in Warzone 2.0

The current Warzone 2.0 meta is dominated by Assault Rifles, Battle Rifles, and LMGs. For those who still prefer taking fights up close, SMGs are the way to go. This guide will help you pick out the best SMG loadout for you in Warzone 2.0.

Warzone 2.0 is infested with Assault and Battle Rifle players with a hint of LMG users. We rarely see SMG players running about and getting kills in close-range combat. However, all of that is about to change as we go through the best SMG loadouts the game has to offer.

Even if SMGs are not the answer to your Warzone 2 problems after the nerfs, they are still versatile to use. That is why, we made a list of all the best SMG classes in the game to simplify the decision-making process.

5. MX9

Attachments for the Best Loadout

  • Comb: FTAC C11 Riser
  • Laser: VLK LZR 7mW
  • Magazine: 32-Round Mag
  • Muzzle: XTEN RR-40
  • Rear Grip: Bruen Q900 Grip

MX9 is weaker as compared to other SMGs on this list but still has decent enough footing in the game. The handling and speed more than make up for the damage of this weapon and it is one of the leading weapons people use to support their sniper loadouts.

There are better options to choose from if you are looking for the best but going with this is not a bad idea if you are trying something new.

4. Vaznev-9k

Attachments for the Best Loadout

  • Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
  • Magazine: 45-Round Mag
  • Rear Grip: True-Tac Grip
  • Muzzle: Bruen Pendulum
  • Stock: Markeev R7

With good damage and a decent fire rate, Vaznev-9k is always a reliable option to choose from if you are an SMG user. The fire rate is lesser than most SMGs which might result in a comparatively slower TTK but the weapon does wonders in close-quarters combat. With the nerfs, it has fallen from glory but is still a viable option as a sniper support.

3. Vel-46

Attachments for the Best Loadout

  • Magazine: 50-Round Mag
  • Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
  • Muzzle: Lacerta Compensator
  • Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
  • Rear grip: ZLR Combat Grip

The Vel-46 is a rendition of the classic MP7 from previous Call of Duty games which is why it is one of the best SMGs to use. Put some classic attachments on it and you will have an amazing solo build to rock which destroys in close-range combat. The nerfs affected the weapon but it did not do much to let it fall from graces and it is still a viable pick in the Battle Royale.

2. Lachmann Sub

Attachments for the Best Loadout

  • Magazine: 40-Round Mag
  • Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
  • Rear Grip: Lachmann TCG-10
  • Muzzle: XRK Sandstorm.
  • Barrel: L38 Falcon 226mm

The most reliable SMG in Warzone 2.0, the Lachmann Sub still dominates the battlefield despite all the nerfs thrown towards it. The minimal recoil, the faster fire rate, and the damage range make it one of the best weapons to use in the game in spite of all the competition around it.

1. PDSW-528

Attachments for the Best Loadout

  • Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
  • Rear Grip: Bruen Q900 Grip+
  • Comb: TV Taccomb
  • Barrel: FTAC Series IX 14.5″
  • Muzzle: FTAC Castle Comp.

This is the best SMG loadout in Warzone 2.0. The PDSW-528 emerged as one of the best guns in the game and has solidified its place as a solo and a support weapon altogether. The magazine size itself is huge so you do not need to put an extended mag on it which saves a slot.

However, the reasoning behind putting this SMG at the top spot is that you can do a lot with it in terms of short to medium-range gunfights.

Other weapons like the Minibak and the FSS Hurricane can be made into good classes but you are better off using these because they provide the most bang for their buck. For more Warzone 2 loadouts, click here.
