Twitter reactions on India's win in second ODI vs NZ

Twitter reactions on India’s win in second ODI vs NZ: Twitter was exhilarated as Indian spinners created havoc in the second ODI.

During the second ODI of the ongoing India’s tour of New Zealand at Mount Maunganui, India defeated New Zealand by 90 runs to go 2-0 up in the series. The Indian spinners stood tall on the occasion to put the opposition in a deep trouble.

While the Indian fast bowlers made early inroads in the initial overs, it was the spinners who neither let the Kiwi batsmen score nor allowed them to persist in front of them. Perhaps, the fact that the hosts were chasing 325 runs to win the match forced them to up the ante in the middle overs, something which backfired.

New Zealand eventually ending up scoring 234-10 in 40.2 overs. Doug Bracewell, who came in to bat at No. 8 in the 27th over, top-scored for his team scoring his maiden ODI half-century, 57 (46), with the help of five fours and three sixes.

With bowling figures of 10-0-45-4, chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the Indian bowlers. Among the others, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal also grabbed a couple of wickets each.
