Twitter reactions on Juventus vs Atletico: Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a scintillating hattrick to knock Atletico Madrid out.
Cristiano Ronaldo stepped up for Juventus as he bagged his 52nd career hattrick, and his 8th in the Champions League to lead his side to the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
Juventus were down by two goals, having scored none at the Wanda Metropolitano in the first leg of the tie.
However, the Portuguese forward rose to the occasion, scoring three goals – including a late winner for the side.
Cristiano Ronaldo kept his calm as he hit home a penalty winner in the 86th minute of the game to lead the Turin-based outfit to the next round.

This is the thing people don’t get about Cristiano when they talk about the greatest ever. He doesn’t dictate games, he decides them. Ultimately, nothing else matters and he has more CL knockout goals than anyone in history. By some distance.

I would take Messi every day as the best player I’ve seen but for the big occasion, Ronaldo is utterly peerless

Fantastic from Juventus and Ronaldo tonight. Bang on the money. Took his chances well. Atletico fell into their usual trap once again: so defensive that they could not shift gears at all. Great night in Juve—sounded like a place no team would want to visit!
