Andy Murray has heard of going gently into that good night, and wants no part of it.
Teeth bared, howling defiance into the void.

You know what? I am not accepting that this is the end.
Andy’s going to retire at Wimbledon, in the arms of Juan Martin del Potro, or Andy’s NEVER GOING TO RETIRE. That’s all.

If Andy Murray can’t hang on until Wimbledon then finishing with a typically battling, dramatic five-setter is a pretty fitting way to bow out I guess pic.twitter.com/WVV29KNeFW

Five-time runner-up Andy Murray falls 6-4, 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-7(4), 6-2 to Roberto Bautista Agut after 4h13 of an epic clash that happened to also be his last ever #AusOpen match. But what a battle that was! Unforgettable, for sure, and a big reminder of the fighter he always was. pic.twitter.com/rxiMeTN3WN

Murray just chased down a dropshot, then a lob and won the 16 stroke point in the fifth set with no hip. What on earth are we watching.

Whatever happens from here, over the last 10 minutes Andy Murray has turned this into an Andy Murray match.
Fighting tooth & nail, making people care, making them live their lives through him, the ups and downs, the agony and ecstasy. Forget the titles, that’s Murray’s legacy.
